When the heat of summer finally gives way to the crisp air of autumn, we can't help but feel excited about giving our closet a makeover. Don't get us wrong!
The breezy, carefree style that comes along with warm weather is one of our favorites, but the cool, crisp air of fall provides us so many more options to choose from. However, when autumn gives way to winter and it becomes necessary to wear several layers, we start to run from out cute ensembles to wear during the cold weather quite quickly. If you feel the same way, the following advice for wearing appropriately for winter is about to improve your life (and your appearance) a lot better.
1. Become an expert at building up layers:
When it's extremely chilly outside, layering your clothing is a tremendously sensible method to go about getting dressed. This is one of the reasons why layering is always in style during the winter season. Do not be scared to pile on the clothes, and do not be concerned that doing so will harm your overall appearance. The trick is to select pieces that can be layered discretely beneath trendier pieces so that you may keep warm while still looking cute.
2. Don't be afraid to let your boots take centre stage:
A reliable pair of boots is the one essential component of a great winter look. Do you possess a dazzling pair of shoes that go over the knee? Put them on display by putting on a short dress with patterned tights to go with them. Do you own a pair of ankle boots that are so amazing that everyone should see them? Pair them with cuffed denim and a thick knit sweater for a stylish look.
3. Give your coats a new lease on life by belting them:
It's pretty much guaranteed that by the midst of the winter, you'll start to experience some tiredness when it involves putting on your same old warm coat day after day. This is particularly true if you reside in a cold climate. Simply belting your coat will breathe new life into it and give it a polished look. Not only does knotting your waist help to emphasize your form, but it will also give the appearance that you are wearing a spanking coat.
